Dad Hats as an Everyday Cap
Dad Caps - also called Dad Hats - got their name from the fact that our fathers started wearing them in the 90s. With tattered jeans and worn out shoes it was not far off to intentionally wear out even the high profile baseball caps with flat brim that were common until then. So the visor was bent and the high profile flattened. The result was a much more casual style.
So Dad Hats have been around for a long time. However, this type of cap is currently experiencing a comeback and is extremely popular - also due to its extremely comfortable fit.
Flat profile - Low Crown
Dad Caps are typically very flat and have unsuspended front panels of soft fabric. That means they are very flexible and fit perfectly to your head shape.
